LONGBOAT KEY, FL : Philanthropist Chuck Barancik killed in car crash on Wednesday, 18th December, 2019

Charles Barancik, founder of the Barancik Foundation, was killed Wednesday evening about 6 p.m. in a car crash on Longboat Key.

Barancik, 91, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His wife, Margery, 83, is in serious condition at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
