Red Bluff, CA : Major injury crash backs up traffic on Northbound Interstate 5 on Friday, 6th December, 2019
A major injury crash reported just before 10:30 a.m. Friday north of the northbound Interstate 5 Red Bluff Rest Area had both lanes of traffic backed up significantly.
Vehicles were starting to back up just north of Jellys Ferry Road about 11 a.m. and by 11:30 a.m. had reached almost to the northbound I-5 on-ramp from Main Street.
Caltrans put up signs indicating a crash had taken place up ahead, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One vehicle occupant was listed on the CHP website as a minor injury, but the incident was later changed to be listed as a major injury collision.
The driver, Laticia Sanchez, 36, of Red Bluff, was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding for treatment of a broken arm.
Reports indicated two people were trapped inside a vehicle that had rolled over into a ditch. A GMC Yukon was towed from the scene.
