COLONIE, NY : Watervliet woman killed in crash on Saturday, 13th July 2019

A Watervliet woman was killed Saturday morning after her 2009 Mitsubishi drifted into the opposite lane, crashing into a Bonded Concrete cement mixer, Colonie police said.

Alexandria Grimmick, 33, died in the collision that also involved a third car, a 2003 Chevrolet, that crashed into Grimmick's car that was headed westbound.

The crash, at 10:55 a.m. near Caroline Street, did not injure the other two drivers in the crash: Steven Guyder, 61, of Middleburgh, who was driving the 2013 Osh Kosh cement mixer and Stacy Rundle, 35, of Watervliet, who was driving the Chevrolet.

A portion of Watervliet Shaker Road (Route 155) was closed to traffic for most of the day during the investigation.

Colonie EMS responded as did Latham Fire Department. The Colonie Police Traffic Safety Division is handling the crash investigation.
