Charlevoix, MI : One person injured in U.S. 31 crash Tuesday, March 14, 2017

A Chebogyan resident was injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash north of Charlevoix Tuesday.

According to a news release from the Charlevoix County Sheriff's Office the crash happened at about 6:15 p.m. on U.S. 31 near Martin Road.
traveling north on U.S. 31 driving a 2002 Chevy pick-up when his vehicle was hit from behind while attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Martin Road.

Sheriff's officials said Ashley Tribisondi, 20, of Cheboygan, was traveling north behind Reynolds when she was not able to stop when he was making his turn and struck Reynolds' vehicle from behind. Tribisondi was driving a 2001 Ford pick-up. She was transported to Charlevoix Area Hospital Munson Healthcare where she was treated for her injuries.

This crash remains investigation. Traffic on U.S. 31 North was briefly shut down and re-routed while the incident was investigated.

Deputies were assisted by the Charlevoix Township Fire Department and the Charlevoix Ambulance.
