LOUISVILLE, KY : All lanes on I-64 West near Simpsonville estimated to be closed 10 hours due to crash on Thursday, 15th August 2024

All lanes are blocked again on I-64 West at the 24-mile marker after a crash.

According to TRIMARC, the crash happened before 11:30 a.m. near Clark Station Road in Shelby County.

Police have not confirmed all the details on what exactly led to the crash. However, Louisville Metro police said no one was hurt after a vehicle lost its back part, which struck one of the TRIMARC signs and caused it to come off its axle.

The crash is currently being investigated by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. TRIMARC is reporting lanes will be closed for an estimated 10 hours to allow for cleanup.

Shelby County Public Schools said this will cause busing delays.
