Garden City, KS : Woman cited after rollover crash in Garden City on Tuesday, April 5, 2016

A Colorado woman was treated at a hospital and cited on suspicion of driving under the influence after a crash Tuesday in Garden City.

According to a report from Garden City Police, Maricela Vargas, 23, of Littleton, failed to yield and turned south onto Main Street from Mary Street in a vehicle around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Vargas pulled out in front of a car driven by Myint Than, 38, of Garden City, causing a collision, police said in a news release.

Vargas’ vehicle rolled onto its top, trapping Vargas inside. Garden City Fire Rescue extricated her from the SUV, and she was taken to St. Catherine Hospital, where she was treated, cited and released.
