Glen Burnie, MD : Cement truck driver injured in a crash on Interstate 97 in Anne Arundel County on Wednesday, Nov 18, 2015

A cement truck driver was injured Wednesday in a crash in Glen Burnie, a county fire official said.

When emergency personnel responded shortly before 4 p.m. to the crash in the area of Interstate 97 and Interstate 695, they found an overturned cement mixer, said fire department Capt. Russ Davies.

The driver and lone occupant, a 26-year-old man, was transported by paramedics to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with injuries that were considered serious but not life-threatening.

No additional information on the crash was available.
