Walworth County , WI: 23- Years old Maxwell Osman internally injured and two others minorly injured after hitting the truck going westbound along Highway 14 on Tuesday morning ,March 24th 32015

An Elkhorn man suffered severe injuries Tuesday morning when he crashed his car into a semi-tractor trailer in Walworth County.

The crash, reported at about 8 a.m. just west of the village of Walworth, closed down Highway 14 for about four hours, the Walworth County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Maxwell Osman, 23, suffered broken bones and internal injuries and was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital.

Police said:

Osman was on Six Corners Road and failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign, hitting the truck going westbound on Highway 14.

Osman's car then went into the eastbound lane of Highway 14, where it hit a Jeep.

The truck driver, Wesley Brekhus, 30, Havre, Montana, and Jeep driver, Garrett Adochio, 20, Delavan, suffered minor injuries and were treated and released from a local hospital.

Traffic on Highway 14 had to be rerouted as crews worked at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
