Suffolk, VA : One person killed and another injured in two-vehicle crash in Suffolk on Wednesday December 30 2015
One person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Suffolk, Wednesday afternoon.
Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue were called the scene in the 1900 block of eastbound Portsmouth Boulevard/Route 58, around 4:40 p.m.
Authorities say a Chrysler Town & Country Minivan and a Honda CRV crashed near the SPSA Regional Landfill.
The driver of the minivan was confirmed dead on scene. The driver was identified as 30-year-old Tameka R. Carter.
The driver of the Honda was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
One lane of eastbound Portsmouth Boulevard/Route 58 is closed and will remain closed for the rest of the night.
