WORCESTER, MA : 4 injured in motorcycle, SUV collision in Worcester on Sunday, 1st April 2018
A serious crash at Perry Avenue and Millbury Street involving a sport utility vehicle and two motorcycles left four people injured Sunday evening.
A witness to the crash, which happened at about 7:45 p.m., said the SUV was on Perry Avenue and the driver had stopped at the intersection before pulling out and turning left on Millbury Street. The witness said he heard one of the motorcycle drivers shout a warning to the the other motorcyclist that they were being cut off, and then both motorcycles and the SUV collided.
A woman who stopped to help said four people were injured and one, a young woman, appeared to be the most seriously hurt. The young woman, another woman and two men were all taken away ambulances.
Police closed off the road and accident reconstruction specialists were called to help investigate.
A Worcester police spokesman said there were “very serious injuries to multiple individuals” and that crews were still working at the intersection nearly two hours later. He said more information will be available later.
