HEIDELBERG TWP, PA : 1 dead after crash on Route 422 in Heidelberg Twp. on Thursday, 29th August 2024

One person is dead after a crash involving at least two cars on Route 422 in Berks County, according to police.

Penn Ave (RT 422) was closed between Big Spring Road and Palm Road in Heidelberg Township while authorities investigated. The road has since reopened.

The South Heidelberg Township Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Penn Avenue and Big Spring Road in Heidelberg Township shortly after 4:30 p.m.

The crash happened in the eastbound lane of Penn Avenue, according to a news release from the South Heidelberg Township Police Department.
