Austin, TX : Woman, 35, dies in rollover crash in Bellmead on Sunday, October 1, 2017

Authorities say speed was most likely a factor in a single-vehicle rollover crash that killed a 35-year-old woman Sunday afternoon.

Misty Lee, of Palmer, died after she was traveling south on Katy Lane, south of Preston Street, at about 3:40 p.m. and lost control of her 1998 Chevrolet. Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. D.L. Wilson said Lee was traveling too fast for the curve in the road, causing the car to roll and strike a tree.

Wilson said Lee was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation, Wilson said.
