A Blair man was arrested after he lost control of his vehicle, left the road and struck the Blair Community Schools Administration Building on Tuesday night.
Blair Police responded to the crash on Washington Street at 9:22 p.m.
Dakota Street, 22, was arrested for willful reckless driving, a misdemeanor.
According to a report filed by Sgt. Josh Pfaff, Street was eastbound in the 2300 block of Washington in a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria when he attempted to take a curve at a high rate of speed. This caused the vehicle to leave the road on the right, drive over an embankment, return to the road and start to spin.
The vehicle spun 180 degrees before jumping the curb, sliding on the grass and coming to a stop after the passenger side struck the building.
The car was totaled. The building and the grounds sustained $3,000 in damage. Street and his two passengers were uninjured. All three were wearing seat belts.
Street had been drinking, but his blood-alcohol content was 0.029, which is under the legal limit of 0.08.
