DeLand, FL : One person injured after a four-car crash on S.R. 44 in the inside lane on Tuesday afternoon, Aug 18, 2015

Traffic was slowed after a four-car crash Tuesday afternoon on State Road 44 west of the intersection with County Road 491.

At around 4:30 p.m., a blue pickup truck was traveling east on S.R. 44 in the inside lane, approaching the intersection, according to a Florida Highway Patrol trooper.

For reasons still under investigation that afternoon, the truck hit the rear end of another car waiting at a red light at the intersection, causing that car to hit a car in front of it, which then hit a fourth car.

A woman was transported by Nature Coast EMS to a hospital, and the crash is still under investigation.
