Jefferson , LA : Port Arthur motorcyclist was dead making a turn and the driver of the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV on Friday night, December 12th 2014

A Port Arthur motorcyclist is dead after a traffic accident Friday night.
The deceased, identified as Jose Lebron, 41, was traveling northbound in the 3700 block of Memorial Boulevard on a Kawasaki Ninja Sport bike when a Ford Expedition failed to yield right of way to oncoming traffic when making a turn and the driver of the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV at about 7:48 p.m. Dec. 12.
The motorcyclist was transported by Acadian EMS to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas where he died from his injuries, according to a press release from the Port Arthur Police Department.
PAPD’s Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and it was later learned from a witness that the driver off the motorcycle was struck by a second vehicle after the initial impact. The only information the witness could give was that it was possibly a silver or light colored passenger car. The vehicle left the scene and was not located.
