Tallahassee, FL : A 91-year-old woman was killed in a car crash on Friday, September 15th 2017

A 91-year-old woman was killed in a car crash Friday morning near Windermere, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Irene Clark of Orlando was driving eastbound on Westover Roberts Road near Florida’s Turnpike about 9:40 a.m. and stopped her 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser at an intersection with a flashing red light, FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.

Another car — a Chrysler 300 driven by Adrian Gonzalez, 55 — was southbound on Apopka-Vineland Road and had a flashing yellow light, troopers said. Witnesses said Clark turned left to join the northbound traffic and Gonzalez’s car hit the left side of her vehicle.

Gonzalez suffered minor injuries. Montes said the crash is still under investigation.
