Marquette Township, MI : Two people injured in a Four car crash on US-41 in Marquette Township on Thursday, November 13, 2014

Officials responded to a four vehicle crash on US-41 in Marquette Township. According to Michigan State Police, the crash took place near Northwoods Road at approximately 9:43 a.m. Shawn Hodgins, 31-year-old from Marquette, was driving westbound on US-41 driving a 2010 Ford van when he lost control of the vehicle. He crossed the median and collided with three eastbound vehicles in a chain reaction crash. David Smith, 22-year-old from Marquette, was a passenger in Hodgins' vehicle. Struck in the mishap were Frank Paris, 54 of Negaunee, driving a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, Albert Randall, 45 of Negaunee, driving a 2002 Toyota Tundra pick-up, and Roy Byman, 33 of Negaunee, driving a 2006 Subaru Legacy. Frank Paris and David Smith were transported to UP Health System Marquette by UP Health System Marquette EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. Hodgins was cited for traveling too fast for conditions. Marquette Township Fire Department, Marquette County Sheriff's Department and the Michigan State Police responded to the scene.
