BRISTOL, PA : A minivan driver struck and killed a pedestrian on Saturday, May 27, 2017
A minivan driver struck and killed a pedestrian late Friday night in this Bucks County borough and then fled hit-and-run style.
Donna Anderson, 50, of Bristol Township, was crossing the intersection of Route 13 and Beaver Street about 11:50 p.m. when she was fatally struck by a Nissan Quest that was traveling southbound on Route 13, police said.
The vehicle left the scene and continued southbound and was last seen turning west onto Bath Road into Bristol Township, according to the Bristol Borough Police Department.
The vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored 2004-2009 Nissan Quest minivan that has front-end collision damage. Police said the vehicle is missing a headlight and are requesting the community’s help in locating the driver and vehicle responsible for Anderson’s death.
Borough cops, since the incident occurred, have been following up on several tips but so far have had “negative results” in solving the fatal hit-and-run crime, Bristol Police Sgt. Carlos Rivera told The Trentonian on Saturday afternoon.
The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact Bristol Police Detective Bill Davis at (215) 788-7812, ext. 13.
