TAFFORD COUNTY, KS : Hutchinson teen taken to Wichita hospital for injuries after early morning rollover crash on Sunday, 20th October 2024

A Hutchinson teen was seriously injured early Sunday morning in a rollover crash on U.S. 50 in Stafford County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says that at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, the teen driver was westbound on U.S. 50 in a 2016 Ford Fusion when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the center. The car left the roadway to the left, struck two trees and overturned multiple times.

The car came to rest in the south ditch.

The driver, a 16-year-old boy from Hutchinson, was transported to a Wichita hospital for serious injuries. The KHP says it is unknown if he was properly restrained at the time of the crash.
