LAS VEGAS, NV : Man struck killed by suspected drunk driver in downtown Las Vegas on Sunday, 20th October 2024

A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Las Vegas early Sunday morning.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:18 a.m. on East Charleston Boulevard, east of the intersection with 10th Street.

An initial investigation revealed that a Toyota Camry was traveling east on Charleston, while a pedestrian was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk. The collision occurred when the pedestrian crossed the path of the Toyota and was struck.

Arriving medical crews determined that the pedestrian - identified as a 51-year-old man - died at the scene.
