Woodstock, IL : Man dies following morning crash in the 11100 block of Charles Road in unincorporated Woodstock on Monday, 25th November, 2019

One person has died and two others suffered serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in the 11100 block of Charles Road in unincorporated Woodstock, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

At 2:03 a.m. Sunday, the sheriff's office, Woodstock police, the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and the Wonder Lake Fire/Rescue District responded to the scene and discovered a 2019 Toyota Camry that had been traveling westbound on Charles Road west of Queen Anne Road before crashing into a utility pole and tree and rolling onto its side, the news release stated.

A 34-year-old passenger from Woodstock – who the Winnebago County Coroner's Office revealed to be Charles Akerberg – had been ejected from the vehicle and was transported to Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital and later was flown to Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, where he was pronounced dead, according to the release.
