Troopers said in a crash in Spartanburg County claimed the life of one driver on Thursday.
According to troopers, the collision occurred along I-85 at mile marker 60 NB around 5:41 p.m.
Troopers said an 18-wheeler was legally parked facing north in the emergency lane when a 2012 Ford Focus ran off the right side of the road into the truck, for an "unknown reason."
The driver of the Ford Focus died at the scene of the crash.
On Friday the coroner identified the driver as 67-year-old Marston Dale Anderson of Greenville. Anderson suffered trauma and died at the scene.
Toxicology results are pending further testing, the coroner said.
