A wreck in Fayetteville has claimed two lives and left a third person in the hospital.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol tells local media outlets the accident happened shortly before midnight Friday when the driver lost control of his vehicle and it smashed into a tree.
Authorities say the driver, 27-year-old Michael Brett Tidwell of Spring Lake, was killed as was 22-year-old Jamie Nicole Easingwood, also of Spring Lake.
A second passenger was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.
