Turrell, AR : Mississippi man dies in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 near Turrell on Saturday, February 11, 2017

Arkansas State Police say a Mississippi man has been killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 near Turrell.

Police say 23-year-old Mario Ruiz of Byhalia, Mississippi, died in the accident Saturday.

A police report says Ruiz was northbound when the vehicle he was driving struck the rear of a trailer being towed by a pickup truck. Ruiz’s vehicle then went off the interstate and into a ditch.

No other injuries are reported.

The report says the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
