Wahpeton, N.D : 71-year-old driver killed in Semitrailer crash on I-29 south of Wahpeton on Tuesday, January 27, 2015

A truck driver died when his semitrailer veered off Interstate 29 south of Wahpeton.

The Highway Patrol says the semi went through a ditch, into a field and then vaulted over a drainage ditch about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The 71-year-old driver from Ayr was taken to a hospital in Breckenridge, Minnesota, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities did not immediately identify him.
