BRIDGEPORT, CT : 4 people injured in wrong-way crash on Rte 8 on Sunday, 9th July 2023

At least four people were taken to a hospital Sunday evening in Bridgeport when a Nissan Murano drove the wrong way onto Route 8 and caused a five-vehicle crash, according to police.

The crash happened at about 6:40 p.m., according to authorities, when the Nissan went onto the ramp on the southbound side of Route 8 and then sideswiped another vehicle. The Nissan then lost control and hit the other three vehicles.

No charges have been filed, and the crash remains under investigation.
