Clarksville ,OH : Two people killed after dump truck collided with a car near the intersection of US 22 on Tuesday morning ,June 9th 2015

Two are dead after a dump truck collided with a car near the intersection of US 22 and Ohio 350 Tuesday morning.

Ohio State Patrol confirmed officers responded to the scene just after 10:30 a.m.

Authorities said that a preliminary investigation showed the driver of the car failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of the two highways. That's when the dump truck collided with the car.

The driver of the car, 76-year-old Leonard Lawson, and his passenger, 73-year-old Joyce Lawson, both perished in the crash. The driver of the dump truck, 63-year-old Robert Beedle, was treated and released with minor injuries, authorities said.
