BENNINGTON, VT : 2 New York residents killed in crash with farming vehicle on Friday, 9th April 2021

Two people are dead after their car crashed into the back of a farming vehicle in southern Vermont, police confirmed late Thursday.

Members of the Bennington Police Department said a 1998 Toyota Camry crashed into the back of a dry hauler, a truck equipped to spread fertilizer, on Vermont Route 9 just after 6:45 p.m. Eighty-two-year-old Lorraine Schichtl and 85-year-old Charles Schichtl, both of Petersburg, New York, were pronounced dead on the scene.
