Allentown, PA : Pedestrian killed in front of 1033 Airport Road on Monday, 23rd July 2018

A 54-year-old Whitehall Township man was identified Tuesday as the pedestrian killed Monday night when he was hit by a car as he walked across Airport Road in Allentown.

Phillip J. Cyriax of Adams Street was taken by Allentown EMS to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill in critical condition shortly after the 8:57 p.m. crash in front of 1033 Airport Road, the Lehigh County coroner’s office said.

Cyriax was pronounced dead at the hospital at 9:19 p.m. The coroner’s office ruled his death an accident.
