Temperance, MI : 52-year-old Jeffrey Noll Henry dead in a fatal crash at Hickory Ridge on Friday, April 15th, 2016
The driver involved in the fatal crash on S. Holly Road near Hickory Ridge on Friday, April 15, has been identified by Michigan State Police as 52-year-old Jeffrey Noll Henry of Linden.
According to Lt. Calvin Hart, the accident is under active investigation.
At approximately 11:20 a.m. Friday, troopers were dispatched to the area of S. Holly Road and Hickory Ridge Road in Rose Township for a vehicle in the ditch, according to a MSP press release. While troopers were responding, dispatch updated the call to a personal injury accident with the driver not responding.
Troopers arrived on the scene and were informed by North Oakland County Fire and EMS that a male driver was unresponsive and had no pulse. The driver was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver was traveling eastbound on S. Holly Road approaching Hickory Ridge when he ran off the roadway to the right, striking a utility pole. It appeared the driver was not wearing his seat belt and was partially lying in the back seat of the vehicle. The vehicle sustained very heavy damage on the driver side.
The driver was taken to Oakland County Medical Office for further investigation. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
