GREENVILLE, OH : A New Vienna man has died from injuries he received in an accident on Tuesday, June 20, 2017

A New Vienna man has died from injuries he received in an accident on Tuesday, according to Greenville police.

Around 7:46 a.m. Tuesday, Shawn P. Davis, a 44-year-old truck driver, was transported via CareFlight medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton from Beauty Systems Group (BSG) on Jaysville-St. Johns Road after he was pinned between his door and the cab of another vehicle at a loading dock, according to Greenville Police Chief Dennis Butts.

Davis was partially outside of the cab of his truck when he struck a docked trailer, causing the jack to collapse and the trailer to fall and pin Davis, the police chief said.
