Provo, UT : One man is confirmed dead following a vehicle crash on Wednesday, December, 20th 2017

One man is confirmed dead following a vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on southbound Interstate 15 in Springville. The crash was first reported at 1:16 p.m.

A driver lost control of a passenger car for unknown reasons, said Lt. Todd Royce with the Utah Highway Patrol.

After losing control, the car was T-boned by a Dodge pickup truck pulling a trailer, Royce said.

The driver of the car, a man in his late teens or early 20s, was confirmed dead at the scene, Royce said.

The right three lanes of I-15 South have been closed since the crash, and will continue to be closed until the investigation concludes.
