A driver was killed in a multicar crash in Rehoboth Wednesday afternoon.
Rehoboth police said they were called to the intersection of Simmons Street and Hornbine Road for a reported two-car motor vehicle crash. Police said the investigation indicates a 1995 Toyota pickup truck and a 2008 Acura TL collided when the Acura turned onto Hornbine Road.
The 21-year-old operator of the Acura suffered serious injuries and was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where she later died.
The two occupants of the pickup truck were also taken to Rhode Island Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Speed and alcohol do not seem to have been factors in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
