Montgomery, AL : Crash in Clay County leaves 51-year-old woman dead on Wednesday, December 21st 2016

A crash Wednesday evening left Goodwater woman dead.

According to Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel, Aurea Alday Gregg was a passenger in a Honda Civic that left the roadway and hit several trees on Highway 148 around 6:30 p.m. yesterday.

Gregg was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Daniel said Gregg, 51, was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the car, Mark Anthony Alday Samson, was injured in the crash and transported to the hospital.

The crash happened four miles east of Sylacauga. Alabama State Troopers are investigating the incident.
