West Milwaukee, WI : Wrong-way driver caused a crash that closed Miller Park Way early Sunday morning September 7th 2014
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said a wrong-way driver caused a crash that closed Miller Park Way Sunday.
Deputies were called around 2:30 a.m. for a car travelling west in the eastbound lanes of I-94 near 35th street.
Shortly after that call, deputies believe the driver crashed head-on with a vehicle travelling north on Miller Park Way.
The driver and a passenger in the wrong-way car were unconscious when police arrived. The were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle that was struck was taken to the hospital with leg injuries.
Deputies said the highway was closed until 6:30 a.m. as accident reconstruction crews worked at the scene.
Empty and full cans of beer were found in the wrong-way vehicle.
