Seattle, WA : Driver arrested for DUI after crashing truck into creek in West Seattle on Friday, December 19, 2014

One man is in custody for investigating of DUI after crashing his truck into a West Seattle creek. The Seattle Fire Department responded to a the truck in the water on Southwest Yancy Street in West Seattle about 1:15 a.m. Friday. They found two people had gotten out of the truck which smashed through a pedestrian bridge and into Longfellow Creek.The condition of the passenger was not immediately known. Crews removed the truck from the creek about 3:30 am. The footbridge remained closed early Friday and was expected to remain closed until the repairs are made.
