Scott City, MO: 1 NB lane of I-55 shut down after crash kills one near Scott City on Thursday, July 16th 2015

A single lane of I-55 was shut down after a crash at the 90.6 mile marker just north of Scott City, Missouri late on Thursday night.The wreck was across from the John Deere dealership.According to the Cape Girardeau Fire Department, 3 people were involved involved in the crash. Two people were in an SUV and one person was driving a car.One person was airlifted to St. Louis. Another victim was taken to local hospital.One of the three people died at the scene of the crash.No word yet on the identity of the people involved.Stay with Heartland News on-air and on kfvs12.com as we work to bring you more on this developing story.
