Harris County , TX : Chase ends in crash after Crasshed Vehicl and Suspect on the run in northeast Harris County on Monday evening ,March 16th 2015
Harris County sheriff's deputies are searching for a driver who bailed out of a car after a high-speed chase Monday evening in northeast Harris County.
The chase reached speeds of 80 mph and there were four children and a woman inside the vehicle.
The children and woman are said to be in OK condition.
Officials said the the driver refused to pull over for a basic traffic violation near Highway 59 and Aldine. Deputies said they don't know why the man fled.
The man led them on a chase down the freeway before exiting and making a U-turn into what is essentially a vacant field.
The man stopped in the field, jumped out and ran into the woods.
Deputies and Houston police officers set up perimeters throughout the area but they have not been able to find the man.
