Gadsden, AL : One seriously injured in two-vehicle crash on Highway 431 on Wednesday morning, February 1, 2017

The driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was flown Wednesday morning from the scene of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 431.

According to Lt. Kent Frachiseur of the Mountainboro Volunteer Fire Department, troopers, deputies and medics were summoned at 9:12 a.m. to the crash on U.S. 431 at Plemons Road.
A Ford F150 with two occupants was traveling southbound on U.S. 431 and the Silverado was pulling out from Plemons Road. The trucks collided, Frachiseur said, and the driver of the Silverado was ejected.
A helicopter landed on U.S. 431 southbound to fly him to UAB Hospital. The two people in the Ford sustained minor injuries and were taken to Marshall Medical Center South for treatment.
