Orlando,FL : Orlando man ID'd in fatal crash that caused car to split in half on may, Friday 2nd 2017

An Orlando man who was killed in a crash that split his car in half was identified Friday evening.

Angelo Acevedo Rodriguez, 47, was driving east on Colonial Drive early Monday when he lost control near Old Cheney Highway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

His Mercedes left the road and struck a light pole, which caused the car to split in half, highway patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said.

Montes said the car then continued moving and hit eight other vehicles in a parking lot.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers are still investigating the crash.
