Missoula,MT : Man pleads not guilty in Montana shuttle crash that killed 2 on August, Tuesday 29th 2017
A man has pleaded not guilty to charges that he grabbed the steering wheel of a moving vehicle while intoxicated and caused a crash that killed two people and injured six others on a Montana interstate.
James Bayford entered the plea Tuesday to two counts of negligent homicide and six counts of criminal endangerment.
The Missoulian reports (http://bit.ly/2vCTHqT ) that Bayford remains in custody on $200,000 bail.
Court records say Bayford’s blood-alcohol level was 0.209 after the Aug. 5 crash that killed 33-year-old Vanessa Anderson and 36-year-old Donny Barlow. They were in a shuttle that was transporting people between Missoula and a weekend festival to prevent alcohol-related crashes.
