Millcreek Township, PA : Erie man dies from injuries in crash on West Ridge Road in Millcreek Township on Tuesday, 4th December 2018

An 86-year-old Erie man died from injuries on Tuesday afternoon after he crashed his pickup truck into a tree on West Ridge Road in Millcreek Township, police reported.

The crash was reported at 3:14 p.m. in the 4200 block of West Ridge Road. Police did not release the man’s name pending notification of family.

Police said the man was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck eastbound on West Ridge Road when the vehicle veered off of the road and crashed head-on into a large tree, police reported.

Fire crews had to remove the driver’s-side door to free the man, West Ridge Fire Department Deputy Chief James Rosenbaum said.
