Lancaster,SC : 79-year-old man struck, killed on Lancaster County highway on August, Thursday 17th 2017

A driver struck and killed a person who was trying to cross a road just outside of the city of Lancaster Thursday afternoon.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal wreck occurred around 3:05 p.m. on SC Highway 914 near Jefferson Street in Lancaster County.
Troopers say a 17-year-old was driving a 2000 Chevy Impala when the pedestrian, identified Friday as 79-year-old Johnnie Mae Hinson, reportedly crossed the road.
Hinson was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center where he died a short time later.
Troopers have not said whether the teen will face any charges.
