TOLEDO, OH : 2 dead, 2 injured in Sandusky Co. crash at US-20 and SR-51 near Woodville on Sunday, 24th March 2019

Two people are dead and two others are injured after a car pulled into the path of a semi-truck in Sandusky Co. Sunday morning.
This happened at US-20 and SR-51 near Woodville just before 10 a.m.
Golden J. Carpenter, 71, of Vermillion was traveling southbound on SR-51 in a 2017 Ford Fusion when he stopped at the stop sign for US-20. After completing the stop, Carpenter pulled out into the path of a westbound commercial tractor trailer driven by Dana F. Richmond, 42, of Toledo, and was struck in the driver’s side door. Both vehicles came to rest in the turn lanes of US-20, west of the intersection.
Carpenter was pronounced dead at the scene.
