Fayetteville , AR: One person killed and eight others injured after bound bus crash along I- 95 on Sunday morning ,August 2nd 2015

One person was killed and eight were injured when a chartered bus from Queens, New York, traveling to Fayetteville for a retreat crashed early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in Johnston County, authorities said.
The driver fell asleep behind the wheel, said Trooper T.L. Garner of the state Highway Patrol.
A passenger in another car involved in the crash was killed, he said, and the driver of that vehicle remained in critical condition Sunday night.
"The bus and car never made contact with each other," Garner said.
The bus passengers were en route to the Science of the Soul Study Center, which is at 4115 Gillespie St. near Hope Mills, for a Sunday conference, said Rajan Shamdasani, a member of the center and the facility's caretaker.
"It really had a dramatic impact on everyone here," he said from the center's grounds, following the retreat from the center's grounds. "It speaks to the entire community. Everyone is shocked and saddened."
Four bus passengers were injured and released from Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, Garner said. They rejoined their group and attended the center's one-day "path to God realization" conference.
Garner said the bus was carrying 48 people.
The accident happened at about 4:20 a.m.
