One person was killed and another was airlifted to the hospital after a car accident involving a tractor-trailer in Berkeley County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the tractor-trailer was driving southbound on County Line Road about 2 p.m. Monday, when a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier took a left hand turn onto that road. The two vehicles collided, killing the driver of the Cavalier. The passenger of the Cavalier was airlifted to the hospital, and the driver of the tractor-trailer was transported to the hospital as well.
The driver of the Cavalier was not wearing a seatbelt. Both the passenger and the driver of the tractor-trailer were wearing seatbelts.
No charges will be filed in this accident, according to SCHP.
