WINDHAM, ME : Woman dies after Windham car crash on February, Sunday 4th 2018

A woman has died after a car crash last week in Windham, according to police.

Maha Dawood, 23, died from her injuries over the weekend, police said.

The single-car crash happened on River Road near Anderson Road.

The driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Mona Dawood, and one of the passengers, 35-year-old Bassam Majeed, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Dawood had been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

River Road was shut down for over an hour following the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
