Jefferson City, MO : One man killed in Newtown Pike car wreck on Friday, September 22nd 2017

A Missouri man was killed and a passenger taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries in a two-car crash on Newtown Pike late Friday night.

Lexington police said a van was headed outbound on Newtown Pike when it hit a truck that was turning onto Newtown from I-75 northbound.

Fayette Coroner Gary Ginn later identified the driver as 35-year-old Vincent Farr of Missouri. He was pronounced dead of multiple blunt force injuries at the scene. Police said a passenger was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

The wreck is still under investigation by Lexington police.
