Orlovista, FL : Patrol car involved in accident on Powers Drive causing northbound traffic to be shut down on Monday, 20th January, 2020

An Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in an accident Monday morning while responding to an emergency near the intersection of Colonial Drive and Powers Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at 3:50 a.m. on Powers Drive causing northbound traffic to be shut down, said FHP’s Lt. Kim Montes.
Deputy Carl Bronislawski, 24 of Orlando, was traveling north on Powers in a marked vehicle when he lost control of the car for an unknown reason, Montes said.
The vehicle hit two power poles and drove through a fence near Postell’s Mortuary, Montes said.
Bronislawski was treated on scene for minor injuries, Montes said said.
Meanwhile, FHP is investigating the scene.
