Stillwater Township, MN : 1 dead, 1 hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Washington County on Monday, December 22, 2014

A two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Washington County left one driver dead and one injured, the Washington County sheriff's office said. The crash, which happened on Manning Avenue just north of Minnesota 96 in Stillwater Township, was reported to the Washington County sheriff's office about 4:35 p.m. One driver was dead at the scene, said sheriff's Cmdr. Brian Mueller. The other driver was extricated from the wreckage and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The drivers, who were not immediately identified, were the only occupants of the vehicles. The sheriff's office said the Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the crash investigation.
